Blackout Powdercoat
Questions:
Does the powdercoat fade in the sun?
Eventually, if left out for a few years, it fades a
little. But it can be polished up with plastic polish.
In any case, it was selected because it is one of the most UV and
weather-resistant powders.
What are the advantages of Blackout Powdercoat?
-Unobtrusive OEM replacement.
-Cool, modern, but understated. Hey, it's Black!
-The toughest powder finish we have ever tested. Beats our
old Gloss Black powder for hardness, ding resistance, adhesion, and
masking surface scratches. This is a primo finish for
real-world use.
What are the disadvantages of Blackout Powdercoat?
I don't know, it is harder to scratch than Stainless.
That's pretty good.
If you do slam it hard enough to break the coating, the metal
underneath can rust.
And it isn't shiny. Or is that an advantage?
